HOW TO ADD PAYMENT GATEWAY THROUGH UPI FOR E-COMMERCE WEBSITE :

Unexpected Problems I Had When I Added UPI Payment Gateway to My eCommerce Website

I recently launched an eCommerce store, and I thought adding UPI as a payment gateway would be easy to do. However, there were several issues that I ran into when trying to add this gateway to my store and make it available for customers to use. If you are thinking about adding UPI to your online store, you might want to take a look at the problems I had with this integration process so you can avoid them yourself. Here’s what happened with me and how it affected my business in the end.

What is a Good Page Speed?

You should focus on speeding up your site. In fact, Google has said that pages with a longer load time tend to get lower rankings in their search results, and according to The Nielsen Norman Group, a delay of just four seconds can prompt visitors to leave. The best page speed is determined by these two factors: Time-to-First-Byte (TTFB) and Page Load Speed. Time-to-First-Byte (TTFB) measures how long it takes for your server to respond after receiving a request from a web browser. Page Load Speed measures how long it takes for your web page's images and content files - also known as its above-the fold content - are fully loaded.

Web Server Configuration :

There are many steps that you have to take in order to add a payment gateway in your website. You can choose any other payment gateway as per your requirements but it is very important that you follow every single step carefully. After you have done some research on different payment gateways and decided which one will suit your needs, then comes the time when you have to integrate it into your website. The first thing that you will need is web server configuration with an SSL certificate installed. At times, they may even tell you which certificates are authorized or not authorized by them so make sure all certificates and configurations are complete before adding any payments gateway in your website.

Merchant Accounts Explained If you’re planning on adding a payment gateway for India to your current e-commerce website, there are a few different options. But first, let’s define what we mean by merchant account. A merchant account is essentially a virtual bank account that helps you process payments online. This is normally done through an electronic system that supports secure transactions for businesses and individuals all over the world...

How to Setup BHIM UPI  for Selling Digital Products

BHIM/UPI is a Mobile app that facilitates bank transactions for small and large sellers. This is one of its kind payment gateway in India that uses customer’s mobile number as their bank account number. You will not require any account, no need of opening any bank account. You can transfer money directly from your mobile wallet to anyone’s mobile without entering IFSC code or Bank details. It just requires your Mobile Number which acts as your Bank Account Number on BHIM UPI.

How Does BHIM Work ?

BHIM is an app-based system that lets you transfer money between bank accounts using your smartphone. BHIM was launched by PM Modi on December 30, 2016. It allows users to send and receive money using their Aadhaar number or mobile number linked with their bank account. The customer has to type a beneficiary’s 12-digit Aadhaar (UID) number or mobile number, amount, and send it for verification.

Setting up the Billing Profile

First up was setting up a billing profile. Up until then, I had been working off my Google Play Developer account (my payment gateway was through Paypal). But now that we were moving over to UPI, it made sense for me to have a separate, dedicated account as well. That way any issues with payments could be dealt with more smoothly.

Sending Payments via SMS

It’s easier than you think! Adding a payment gateway like PayPal was so much fun that we got carried away with adding another popular payment gateway: Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Unlike your average payment gateway, which requires you to use third-party software, all UPI payments are initiated through a mobile app—the BHIM app, in our case. That meant that in addition to installing BHIM on my store’s server, I also had to download it on my phone.
